Use the instructions for the actual container
Storage instructions belong to a specific product and device. A single-dose pen, multidose vial and oral tablet are different supplies. Write down the full name on the label and ask the pharmacist to explain the rules for your exact presentation.
The current Zepbound label distinguishes single-dose and multidose presentations, including their storage and discard rules. Wegovy also has product-specific instructions. Do not copy a friend’s travel window or use a branded product’s limit for a compounded vial.

Plan for temperature exposure, not just departure day
Ask how to transport your supply, protect it from freezing or heat, and track any permitted time outside refrigeration. A hotel fridge, vehicle or cooling pack can create its own temperature problems. Discuss the itinerary and storage setup with the pharmacist before packing.
Keep the original carton and labeling where practical so the medicine can be identified and the instructions remain available. If you discover an excursion or damaged container, ask the pharmacy whether the supply can be used; a parcel feeling cool later does not establish its earlier temperature history.

Check refill timing before leaving home
Count the prescribed doses you will need during the trip and the time required for the next clinical review. Ask the service whether it can dispense or deliver at your destination and whether a pharmacy change is needed. State eligibility and pharmacy rules should be confirmed for that plan.
Lavender Sky’s refill guidance shows why a paid invoice alone does not remove every clinical-review requirement. Resolve any required follow-up early rather than discovering it when the final dose is due.

Travel disruption and a treatment interruption are different
A delayed flight may change access to a dose; it does not create a new dosing schedule. Ask your prescriber what to do if a dose is missed or the interruption becomes longer. Approved products have different instructions, and restarting after a break may require another clinical plan.
Do not combine doses, shorten the injection interval or switch to a different formulation simply to fit a travel day. Keep a contact method for the care team and dispensing pharmacy that works while you are away.

Prepare a small records and supplies checklist
Bring the prescription label, pharmacy contact, administration instructions and the supplies appropriate to your prescription. Ask about safe handling and disposal of injection supplies for the destination. Check the carrier and destination’s requirements directly instead of assuming every border or airline uses the same rules.
Record the date a multidose container was opened and any relevant storage events. If an injectable supply arrives warm during the trip, follow FDA’s caution against using it and contact the dispenser for a replacement or clinical continuity plan.
